As much as relationships cannot always be rosy and there will ups and downs from time to time, there are some  signs that shows that things are no longer working.

  1. LACK OF FEELINGS OF SECURITY 

When your partner constantly puts  you in a situation where you are in always in doubt of their loyalty to you or the future of such relationship, then  it’s best reassess your position and consider if it’s worth going on with.

 

  1. LACK OF COMMUNICATION 

Regardless  of how much love and affection exists in a  relationship, when communication begins to dwindle, all those feelings will gradually fade away, and misunderstandings will  become a norm in the relationship, leaving both partners emotionally distant from each other. This is a serious issue that could ultimately lead to the end of the relationship.

 

  1. FEELING UNAPPRECIATED AND DISRESPECTED

We all enjoy it when our efforts are noticed and reciprocated, it boosts our self confidence and we want to do more, but when a  person tries so hard to make the relationship better, yet, they feel all the efforts are ignored and unappreciated, when they put in  no effort to love you, spend time with you, share the important things with you, the relationship stops giving or gives too little and starts taking too much, this is a clear sign that the relationship might be heading to its doom because over time, both parties would feel exhausted and worthless.

Successful and happy  relationships are built on some level of trust. When either of the parties start getting paranoid, then the relationship is gradually getting to its end.It is best to reassess yourself or your partner and deal with the issue because in the long term if left unresolved, it might lead to the end of the relationship.

Relationships cannot be all smiles , there are  definitely going to be times that you will be less happy, but when this occurs very  often, then the relationship is getting toxic. There should be an air of positive energy and happiness in your relationship, else  you are probably with the wrong person and both of you are not compatible. This is definitely the peak  of toxicity in any relationship. It should not be tolerated under any circumstances.There is no point enduring when its gets to physical abuse, the relationship is a lost cause and should be ended as it never gets better, and might put the abused partner’s life at risk. Frequent arguments, unfounded paranoia, can increase stress levels, and with all the other normal life struggle to worry about, such drama should be avoided as often as possible.

If you do not experience any growth in your relationship , then its time to move on because this might eventually affect your overall growth as an individual. There’s no point wasting time on something that is not moving forward.

  1. IT FEELS ONE—SIDED 

Relationships thrive on reciprocity, hence, when there is no give and take or when it seems like you are the only one putting in effort to make the relationship work.  Nobody can hold a relationship together when they are the only one doing trying . It’s lonely and very exhausting, then it’s likely there is no future anymore.
