Musser Fellowship at Penn State University in USA 2021

Penn State University in the United States is inviting applications for the Musser Fellowship in Entrepreneurial Studies in the 2021/22 school year.

The Warren V. Musser Fellowship program in Entrepreneurial Studies was established to help assist full-time and part-time graduate students who enrol in a Penn State Great Valley campus-focused program.

The Musser fellowship program is structured for entrepreneurs who are looking to increase their business knowledge and aptitude, and persons who are passionate about commencing their own business, running a start-up company, or taking a leadership role in a fast-growing new or emergent firm.

About Penn State University

As Pennsylvania’s only land-grant tertiary institution, Penn State has a wide-ranging mission of research, teaching, and public service. But that mission was not so magnificently conceived in 1855, when the Commonwealth commissioned it as one of the country’s first colleges of agricultural science, with an objective to apply scientific values to farming.

Penn State started providing methodical advanced-degree work in 1922 with the establishment of the Graduate School. Graduate studies and research progressed hand in hand. By 1950 the University had won global excellence for investigations in dairy science, diesel engines, building insulation, and acoustics, and other expert fields.

A college of medicine and teaching hospital were created in 1967 with a $50 million donation from the charitable trusts of prominent chocolate mogul Milton S. Hershey. In 1989, the Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport turned into an associate of the University. In 2000, Penn State and the Dickinson School of Law amalgamated, meaning the University now runs two law schools—Penn State Law (on the University Park campus) and Dickinson Law (in Carlisle, Pennsylvania). Penn State’s online World Campus graduated its first scholars in 2000 and now takes in over 20,000.

Penn State researchers are of the belief that the best ideas and solutions come from bringing together a multitude of perspectives. The University’s cross-disciplinary institutes promote partnership across departmental borders to concentrate research strengths on vital scientific questions and persistent societal needs.

Penn State researchers team up across fields to come up with solutions that positively influence the world. Their research expertise goes beyond the lab through collaborations with industrial, educational, governmental, and agricultural leaders. From bringing to an end the spread of malaria to coming up with farming practices that protect the water quality in the Chesapeake watershed, Penn State’s cross-disciplinary researchers solve issues that influence the world. Fifteen fields—from atmospheric science to psychology and materials engineering—rank nationally in the top ten for research expenses. (The only other major research university that shares this distinction is Johns Hopkins.)
