Hungarian State International Awards at Eötvös Loránd University in Hungary 2021

Tempus Public Foundation provides the Hungarian State International Awards for international higher education scholars, graduates, lecturers, and researchers who are looking to gain additional experience and knowledge in Hungarian higher education institutions, research, or art institutions.

Four types of Hungarian State International Awards are available in the academic year 2021/2022:

  • Bachelor/Master/Doctoral partial/semester studies (3-10 months)
  • Full Bachelor/Master/Doctoral programme (36/24/36 months respectively)
  • Short or long-term study visits (min. 3 days – max. 10 months)
  • Summer courses (2-4 weeks)

Candidates for partial/semester bachelor, masters, and PhD programs can put in for programs delivered in Hungarian or English language. 

Candidates for full degree bachelor, masters, and PhD programs can only apply for programs delivered in Hungarian language (except for art programs where programs in English is possible). 

Tuition fee is covered by the Hungarian state.

Eligibility for Hungarian State International Awards

  • Candidate should possess a valid educational work plan or a mutual agreement signed by the Hungarian Government or the Ministry of Human Capacities and the appropriate ministry of the given nation or territory.
  • Candidates should have a past year’s degree or certificates with a decent academic result.
  • Candidates are required to have an acceptable English language exam (like IELTS) with an acceptable score before enrolling for an academic program.
  • The candidate should possess a valid educational work plan or a mutual agreement signed by the Hungarian Government or the Ministry of Human Capacities and the appropriate ministry of the given nation or territory.
  • Applications for all categories of state scholarship awards are obtainable for candidates from the following relations: Belgium, Austria, Canada, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Estonia, Czech Republic, France, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Greece, Italy, Ireland, Lithuania, Latvia, Norway, Luxemburg, Portugal, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Sweden, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States of America.
  • Candidates from the following nations are qualified for full degree programs: Belgium, Austria, Canada, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Estonia, Czech Republic, France, Finland, Greece, Germany, Ireland, Iceland, Latvia, Italy, Luxemburg, Lithuania, Norway, The Netherlands, Portugal, Poland, Slovakia, Romania, Slovenia, Sweden, Spain, United Kingdom, Switzerland, United States of America.
  • Candidates from the following nations are qualified for partial programs: Belgium, Austria, Canada, Bulgaria,  Cyprus, Croatia, Estonia, Czech Republic, France, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Greece,  Italy, Ireland,  Japan, Latvia, Luxemburg, Lithuania,  People’s Republic of China, Norway, Republic of Korea, Portugal, Poland,  San Marino, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Sweden, Spain, United Kingdom, Switzerland, United States of America.
  • Candidates from the following nations are qualified for Study visits: Albania, Austria, Argentina, Bulgaria, Belgium, Canada, Cambodia, Croatia, Chile, Cyprus, Egypt, Czech Republic,  Estonia, France, Finland, Greece, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Iceland,  Japan, Italy, Kuwait, Lebanon, Latvia,  Luxemburg, Lithuania, Malaysia, Morocco, Mexico, Mongolia, Norway, The Netherlands, Indonesia, India, People’s Poland, Republic of China, Republic of Korea, Portugal,  Russia, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Spain, Thailand, Switzerland, Ukraine, Turkey, United States of America, United Kingdom, Vietnam.

How to Apply for Hungarian State International Awards

Interested applicants must have to take admission in a Bachelor, masters, doctoral degree programme at the University. After that, you can apply for the opportunity through the online portal.
