Kim Woodburn Early Life and Career 

Kim Woodburn was born on the 25 of March 1942 in Hampshire, England. Originally, she was named Patricia. She learned a great deal in cleaning from her grandmother while growing up.

She was fascinated by her grandmother who mentored her on cleaning. In time, Kim left for Liverpool when she was in her adult age.

During that period, she began doing a lot of jobs. Kim worked as a social worker for teenagers for a long period before she landed the opportunity to make her television debut in 1983.

Kim appeared on the show “Pebble Mill at One” as the demonstrator of Knitwear.

She started her career as a co-presenter of the show “How Clean Is Your House?” along with Aggie MacKenzie.

However, due to her outstanding presentation and success in the show, she was made the highest-paid Channel 4 presenter at that time. For this reason, Woodburn went on to film “How Clean is Your House” in Canada.

Kim Woodburn wrote her autobiography titled ‘Unbeaten’ in 2006 which gave a detailed revelation of her early life and the difficulties she encountered growing up.

Afterward, she called it quit from the show in 2009, and later on, the show was canceled shortly.

Meanwhile, later in the same year, Woodburn was announced as one of the contestants for the 9th season of “I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!”. She went on to finish as runnerup in the show.

However, her success in the show helped her land the role as host of British daytime television program “This Morning”.

Kim continued on her success path and became a regular panelist on the show “Big Brother’s Bit on the Side” in 2011. This was followed by her participation in the 19th season of “Celebrity Big Brother” in 2017.

During her time in the show, she had continuous house clashes with housemates Jessica Cunningham, Chloe Ferry, Spencer Pratt, Heidi Montag, and Nicola McLean.

Kim Woodburn had a terrible childhood experience which she had no problem sharing. According to her, she was constantly beaten by her mother throughout her childhood and was also neglected by her father.

She said her father once attempted to molest her as a teenager. Woodburn has a brother and a sister and several other half-siblings born to her mother and various men.

However, shortly after she left home at age 23 and began moving from job to job, she got pregnant by her then-boyfriend who later left her with the child.

As if things won’t get any worse, three months after her boyfriend left her, she gave birth to a stillborn baby in February 1966.

She got scared of the stigma of what had happened and the fear of being an unmarried mother and alone.

Then she took the decision and buried the baby’s body in a nearby park. In that event, Woodburn later got married to a policeman named Ken but the marriage crashed in 1975.

Kim went on to marry her second husband Peter Woodburn in 1979 and the couple has been together ever since. Her mother passed on in 2000.
