Bob Baffert Life and Career
Robert A. Baffert was born in the United States and raised in a ranch as his parents reared cattle and chickens. He began experimenting on horses at a young age and even worked on as jockey in some horse racing earning $100 daily.
Baffert obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arizona. He focused on training houses after graduation and soon made a name for himself as a horse trainer.
His winning of the Breeders Cup in 1992 gave him the desired breakthrough he needed as a horse trainer.
In 1996, Cavonniar a three-year colt which he trained came second in the Kentucky Derby. The next year he bettered his previous record as Silver Charm a horse trained by him came first at both the Kentucky Derby and Preakness stake.
Despite his horses participating in other classic races, Baffert experienced a trophy draught up until 2001 when his horses won both the Belmont and Preakness Stakes.
His winning streak continued up until 2015 when his career took a different dimension. After years of trying to win the Triumph Cup, he finally won it in 2015 with the horse American Pharaoh.
